Energy is the foundation for green building

As of last week, we are a proud member of the U.S. Green Building Council. ClearSpan Fabric Structures are energy-efficient and, according to greenbuilding.com, "energy is the foundation for green building." Abundant natural light filters through our covers, eliminating the need for daytime artificial lighting and reducing the number of lights needed at night.

Due to this unique feature, a ClearSpan Fabric Structure requires fewer lights which operate for less time. In a traditional steel or wood building that is in use for 8 hours, approximately 114 kW are consumed per day. In a ClearSpan Fabric Structure, where you don’t need as many lights and don’t need them on for the entire day, only 12 kW are consumed per day.

By replacing 100 traditional wood or steel buildings with 100 ClearSpan Fabric Structures enough energy is saved in one day to power 343 American households.
